MINEHEAD Twinning Association has returned from a “fabulous” weekend of cultural visits, eating and drinking with its French hosts in St Berthevin.

Visits included a tour of Laval Castle with its 13th century dungeon turret – the sole remaining example throughout Europe – made from a construction of huge oak beams.

Next year, hosted by Minehead, will be the 30th anniversary of twinning with St Berthevin.
