FOUR members of Minehead Twinning Association were hosted by Mayor Yannick Borde and St Berthevin Twinning Committee to celebrate 20 years of town twinning between St Berthevin and Ceuti in Spain.

They were joined by the mayors and twinning committee members from other twinned towns of Caslino d’Erbra in Italy and Wehingen in Germany.

Joan Passmore, Helen and Brian Scott and Jonathan Greenhow enjoyed a tour of Le Mans medieval town and cathedral, followed by a visit to the Le Mans 24 hour racing museum and race track, where they were shown the control centre and viewed the starting grid from the winner’s podium.

A second day was spent seeing the sports centres, art studios and new cultural centre in St Berthevin.

This modern building impressively houses a library, dance studio and orchestra rehearsal room available without charge to all registered groups, and a 300 seat theatre where the formal ceremony of 20th anniversary of twinning with Ceuti took place, followed by a dinner and cabaret.
