A SIX-week coaching programme starts later this month to help young people in the Wiveliscombe area navigate their ‘emotional regulation and communication’.
The ‘Tuning Into Teens’ weekly sessions are aimed at parents, pre-teens, and teenagers, and particularity to help parents support their youngsters’ emotional wellbeing.
They cover issues such as developing ‘emotional intelligence’ and teaching teens how to handle conflict.
The initiative is based on an Australian programme which uses emotion coaching and will run on Thursdays from February 27.

Facilitators for the course have been drawn from Somerset’s mental health support team who are part of CAMHs/NHS.
