A TOTAL of £746 was raised for Brainwave, an organisation supporting children with brain disorders or disabilities through injury, at a Roadwater Tuesday Club charity evening last Friday (October 11).
Brainwave helps children to achieve greater independence and reach their maximum potential, working with therapists who devise programmes to specifically suit children’s needs.
The evening entertainment was provided by The Rivertones, the only all-male a capella group of its kind in Somerset, which mixes harmonies and humour.
The Tuesday Club ladies provided supper and also donated raffle prizes. To finish the evening, Andrew Dillamore, Brainwave head of finance, spoke about the work being done by the children’s charity.
Carole Fawcett, joint chairman of the Tuesday club, said: “We thank everyone who supported the event, plus those behind the scenes who worked so hard to make it such a successful evening.
“We are delighted with the amount of money we raised for such a deserving cause.”
