The honours are a jointly organised by the Federation of Bangladeshi Caterers and the Asian Catering Federation.

The evening was hosted by Farah Ahmed from Sunrise Radio, with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg delivering the keynote speech to the nation's best Asian caterers.

The awards were split into 14 regional categories, with honours for chefs and industry newcomers as well as the more established restaurants such as the Alcombe Tandoori.

A spokesman for the restaurant said everyone was thrilled and proud to have won.
