YOUNGSTERS rose to the challenge and toddled round and up and down an obstacle course to raise funds for charity.

At least 20 two to four-year-olds took part in the sponsored toddle in the grounds of the Little Vikings Children's Centre in Watchet.

And although the amount raised will not be known for a few weeks, organisers dubbed the event a great success.

Glorious sunshine proved a welcome backdrop for the youngsters' efforts as they negotiated slides, hoops and other equipment during a double circuit of the course.

The sponsorship cash will go to the Meningitis Trust, a charity suggested by a parent at the children's centre.
