And although the amount raised will not be known for a few weeks, organisers dubbed the event a great success.
Glorious sunshine proved a welcome backdrop for the youngsters' efforts as they negotiated slides, hoops and other equipment during a double circuit of the course.
The sponsorship cash will go to the Meningitis Trust, a charity suggested by a parent at the children's centre.
