SIR — Watchet LIVE CIC would like to thank everyone who came along to support their Community Music Festival held at Parsonage Farm in Watchet over the bank holiday weekend.

Everyone there had a great time despite at times some squally showers and chilly winds; the sun did shine over the weekend, making the festival look very picturesque with the blue skies and fabulous views of the West Somerset countryside.

Watchet LIVE Festival has possibly the best setting for this type of event in the country - a point that was stated on numerous occasions across the weekend by a lot of festival goers who had come to the event for the first time this year.

Despite the mud early on at the event, the whole weekend went off without a hitch. The bands performing went down a storm, along with all the other attractions and performances taking place at different times across the three days.

The feedback we have received so far has been very positive and extremely encouraging, we are a real festival at last!

We would also like to thank the pathetic, mindless thugs who think it's big and clever to damage hired-in property by smashing one of the portable building windows some time last Tuesday evening at the festival site.

A suggestion from us is: Get a life, grow up and start respecting your community.

Watchet LIVE CIC.
