A BY-election later this month to fill a long-standing vacancy on Watchet Town Council will be a three-cornered contest.
One of the candidates will be Robert Hill, whose wife Jenny caused the vacancy when she resigned last September.
Mrs Hill stood down the day after she failed to force the resignation of council chairman Cllr David Banks.
She was one of three councillors who objected to comments by Cllr Banks against a planned £5 million marina in the town's harbour.
The by-election will be held on February 17 with polling in Watchet Baptist Church between 8am and 9pm.
Mr Hill, who lives in Brendon Road, will stand as an Independent against Liberal Democrat Georgina Palmer, of High Bank, and Independent Pierre St John, of West Street.
