SIR — Why do those cutting hedgerows, or those contracting others to do it for them, never sweep the carpet of thorns, spikes and debris from the lanes
afterwards?
Thorns and debris injure domestic pets, cause punctures (two in one week), block drains and culverts and can cause vehicles to skid.
It is lazy, penny pinching and unneighbourly.
