SIR — Why is the younger generation of Williton not interested in the future of their village?

I attended a meeting last week to promote a new ten-year plan for the village and once again it was all left to the older generation.

The point is a future ten-year plan is the concern of the under 65s, putting forward their views on how they want the village to change — views on housing, transport, parking, social amenities to help young people etc.

I challenge the younger generation to break the apathy that has gripped Williton.

You can do this by joining a group now being formed, to make this next ten-year plan for Williton - all details can be obtained from the new council office in Killick Way.

Whitecroft,

Williton.
