SIR — We would like to say a big thank you to a lady called Kim who stopped to check that we were OK after our car slid on a wet greasy road surface then connected with an oncoming bus near Billbrook on Saturday April 25. She went on to call the police and ambulance services and stayed until they came. Thank you for your kindness and your care and a hand-hold just when we needed it. Thank you also to the emergency services that turned up. They seemed to be there in no time and the care and attention they gave us was second to none. Although there were police, ambulance crews and fire crews from different crews and different areas on scene, they were like one big co-ordinated, seamless team. We were amazed at how we were dealt with. There was such a lot of logistics for everyone to deal with and it was done so efficiently. What struck me the most was how we were dealt with, with such expertise and compassion and just a little bit of well placed and needed sense of humour. Guys and girls, you made us feel safe and cared for and you made us feel so very very lucky that we have such amazing emergency services, run by the most amazing professional people. Thank you hardly seems enough to say for what you all do for the people who need you. Thank you all for making us safe. Jane and Carlo Ciarleglio, Green Hollow, Minehead.
