A FOUR-legged visitor helped spread a smile or two when a Minehead residential care home opened its doors to friends and families. Wyndham House in Martlet Road took part in the annual National Care Homes Open Day, and manager Tracey Delbridge took along her horse Turbo Ted to give residents and visitors a chance to get to know him. Teddy, as he is known, tucked in to carrots and Polo mints in return for plenty of pats and affection. The event also included a white elephant stall selling books and bric-a-brac, as well as refreshments. But Teddy certainly proved to be the star of the show. "To see the residents' faces light up was just amazing," said a spokesman for the home. "They spoke about his visit all over the weekend - he made such a positive impact."
