WITH both Taunton Deane and Sedgemoor Councils calling off all games on council pitches last Thursday and many club grounds also unfit, only nine of Saturday's 23 scheduled games were played.
Despite the sticky conditions after the rain, both sides made a bright start with the visitors creating the best chances.
But despite their early pressure, Dulverton couldn't find an opening and Porlock began to assert themselves in a goalless first half.

After 70 minutes Porlock made a good break, resulting in Adam Sparks testing the keeper from 20 yards, and when the shot was spilled Richie Rich crossed and Steve Plenty's header was cleared off the line.
Porlock took encouragement from a dominant spell and soon found themselves a goal to the good when a corner wasn't cleared and Paul Matravers was able to square the ball to Plenty who made no mistake with a low shot from seven yards out.
The rest of the game saw Dulverton push men forward for an equaliser but Porlock's defence of Arnold, Howard and Matravers stood firm.
