CAPE House, Porlock – once very much at the heart of village life – is the subject of an illustrated talk in the Dovery Manor Museum Solar on Thursday (August 8).

Santas here, there, and everywhere for annual festival in PorlockRosemary Gray will be speaking about the research she and Tim Gray carried out into the history of the Cape. It features the amazing number of trades that flourished there over the years, as well as the Cape family.
The talk is at 2.30pm and complements the summer exhibition ‘At the Centre of Things’, which continues until the end of September.
Tickets cost £2, including tea and biscuits, and can be purchased from Porlock Visitor Centre or the museum for £2.
