A SUSPECTED World War Two bomb found in a rock pool resulted in Kilve beach being closed for five hours on Saturday.

Coastguards alerted by a member of the public, cordoned off the area to await the arrival of a Royal Navy dive clearance team, who identified the object as an explosive device and removed it to be destroyed.
A Watchet Coastguard spokesman said: “Anyone finding something suspicious on a beach should not touch it but should record its exact position and inform the coastguard on 999.”
