TWO supermarket chains this week discounted rumours they would be opening new stores in both Williton and Minehead. Sainsburys Local, a smaller customer-led convenience store branch of the larger supermarket chain, denied it had bought the former Kwikfit site in Alcombe Road, Minehead. Tesco similarly denied claims it was looking to get a foothold in Williton with either a One-Stop or a Tesco Express store on the site currently occupied by County Stores.
