IN the second of our three-part review of 2017 in pictures, we bring you news from May to August.

For example, Minehead Railway Station hosted the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow in May.

In June, Exmoor Pony Centre was saved from closure when £33,000 was raised - £22,000 of it within eight days – thanks to the generosity of 850 people around the world.

Minehead Hospital welcomed patients when its beds were re-opened in July after more than six months.

And a Royal Navy bomb squad launched from Watchet harbour before detonating a 75-year-old 500lb bomb found in the Bristol Channel – only three miles away from Hinkley Point’s power stations - in August.
