SIR — We are writing on behalf of CLOWNS and the West Somerset Nursery to thank Cutting Edge, the Johnny Mars Band and the Regal Theatre for organising a fundraising event on September 19 in aid of our two charities. Also, a huge thank you to everyone who came and supported the evening. Money donated in this way is so important to registered charities such as ours. It is not restricted funds, which means we can put it towards areas than need financial help. Getting our message across to the general public is sometimes difficult; so many people think CLOWNS is just the highly visible double decker playbus. However, we also provide a mobile and static toy library, physical family activities, an outreach service providing one-to-one family support and holiday play schemes for school age children up to 13 years of age. For further information phone 01643 707190 or visit the website http://www.clownsproject.btck.co.uk">www.clownsproject.btck.co.uk. West Somerset Nursery is a non-profit charity which provides a friendly and flexible service. Currently, there are childcare spaces for children aged three months to five years. You can book all-day care or just sessions, available Monday to Friday, all year including school holidays. Further information 01643 708867 or http://www.westsomersetnursery.com">www.westsomersetnursery.com. Both organisations aim to improve the quality of life for families in West Somerset by providing support. Once again, many thanks for your generosity. Kathy Morton, Manager, CLOWNS c/o Minehead Eye. Abigail Moloney, Manager, West Somerset Nursery, King Edward Road, Minehead.
