TEENAGERS from the West Somerset Community College have been playing their part in marking the sacrifice of thousands of war victims over decades.
Student leaders began selling poppies this week ahead of Remembrance Day on Sunday.
The Royal British Legion is hoping to raise £42 million from the 2012 Poppy Appeal to help ex-service and serving members of the Armed Forces.
And people of all ages across West Somerset have been helping the nationwide effort.

Undercover saboteurs infiltrate all three West Somerset staghound packsThe college will be paying its tribute in the form of two special assemblies today (Friday) on the theme of women in war, followed by a ceremony in it own Remembrance Garden.

l Fond memories will be stirred for war veterans and their families attending Sunday's Royal British Legion Remembrance service in Williton Methodist Church.
Dr Glyn Court will be playing a carefully chosen selection of wartime songs and music at 2.30pm, before the main service begins at 3pm.
The music has been chosen to bring back fond memories for veterans from a wide variety of backgrounds, including those from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Airforce.
