TWO leading members of Minehead Stroke Club, Phil Barclay and Robin Jones, have retired after dedicating over 40 years’ service between them.

Phil has helped with most aspects of the club over the years and often entertained members by playing the piano or accordion, while Robin has been part of the volunteer driving team and has helped to co-ordinate and run club outings.

Minehead Stroke Club meets every Wednesday morning in the St John Ambulance Hall, in North Road, and welcomes new members who have at any time been affected by having a stroke.

The club helps members to take part in a range of activities and has several health professionals among its volunteers. Transport is provided, as is lunch.
