THE tiny hamlet of Stringston, which lost three men out of 18 in the Great War, is commemorating the centenary of Armistice Day.
A Remembrance service at 10.40am on Sunday will feature a variety of stories, pieces of general interest and facts along with Word War One music. Everyone is welcome.
As well as a church, Stringston has about 20 houses over a large area and a member of the congregation asked the church wardens if he could make some sort of memorial to the village’s fallen.
This resulted in a display being assembled on the road from Stogursey to Kilve, which passes the hamlet.
