WEST Somerset residents faced more weather-related upheaval over the weekend, having to contend with localised flooding across the district and a landslip in Minehead.
Holloway Street was closed after tonnes of boulders and mud cascaded across the carriageway following Saturday's rain, leaving motorists heading to and from The Parade to find alternative routes.
The road was re-opened on Monday, although a parking area remained closed.
"Following the landslide in Holloway Street we identified the landowner and the debris was cleared away," said a spokesman for Somerset County Council.

Flooding affected roads across Somerset and police warned anyone travelling over the weekend to take extra care.
The A39 around Cannington, Nether Stowey and Keenthorne was particularly badly hit as were country roads, including lanes around Timberscombe.
A police spokesman said: "The roads were affected by standing water as well as water running off surrounding fields.
"Anyone who was intending to travel was advised to delay their journey or use alternative routes."
More heavy rain is forecast for today (Friday, January 24) and Sunday.
