MINEHEAD Street and School Pastors held a hugely successful information and recruitment evening last Monday, January 15, at Millbridge Evangelical Church.

The open evening offered a chance to share information about the work of the pastors with the local community.

Between 50 and 60 people saw videos about the work of the Pastors nationally, and heard reports from local volunteers Sue Burt, Steve and Rosemary Barron and Pam Drew about their experiences in Minehead.

The pastors are volunteers from local churches, working under the umbrella of an inter-denominational charity called the Ascension Trust.

The role of pastors is to support those in need, whether as a street pastor out late at night, or as a school pastor on duty in and around West Somerset College.
