SEVEN gardens will be open in Stogumber on Sunday (June 18) for the National Gardens Scheme.
The very varied gardens include three surprisingly large ones in the village centre, a semi-wild garden and three very large gardens on the outskirts of the village, with many rare and unusual plants.
Conditions range from water-logged clay to well-drained sand. Features include a walled garden, ponds, bog gardens, rockery, vegetable and fruit gardens, a collection of over 80 roses and even a cider-apple orchard.
Home-made teas are available in the village hall. There is plentiful free parking; follow the signs from the A358 or B3224.
The opening times are 2pm to 6pm and admission is £5; free for children under 14. All gardens have disability access and dogs on leads allowed in six gardens
