On Friday August 25 I had to travel to Taunton on the 28 bus for a hospital appointment.

On boarding the bus it was already full, largely with Butlin’s visitors returning home after their holiday.

At Alcombe, a lady in a wheelchair was unable to board the bus, and at Ellicombe we passed a lady with a suitcase who was, presumably, hoping to get to Taunton for an onward journey. Many passengers had to stand all the way to Taunton.

Why cannot arrangements be made for special buses for Butlin’s visitors on the busy days? Management must know how many people will be wanting to travel by bus.
