Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm August 1 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 to 24 carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A38.

M5, from 8pm August 3 to 5am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25 - lane closure for safety barrier repairs.

M5, from 9pm August 3 to 5am August 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 - lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8pm August 6 to 6am August 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 26, lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 8pm August 14 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 to 24 carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A38.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
