HEAVY rain on Saturday September 3 did not deter people from visiting Carhampton Gardening Club’s annual flower and produce show in the village hall.

Entries were a little higher than last year despite the dry growing season, while bakers and preserve-makers seemed to have been unaffected by the weather.

The recently introduced class for allotment produce, open to members of Carhampton Allotment Society, was very well supported.
