Somerset Sight is in need of a volunteer to visit an elderly man in Williton to give him some company and conversation.
The charity provides support for people with sight impairment across the county. This includes the volunteer visiting service in which a local volunteer is matched with someone with sight loss for regular company and support.
Local co-ordinator Claire Packwood said: “We are looking for a volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman in Williton who has sight and hearing loss and very limited mobility.
“The role would be for company and conversation. He loves music and to chat about a variety of subjects. He used to read a lot and has wide ranging interests.”

West Somerset libraries continuing to offer free winter coat exchange Claire would set up the visits which would be either weekly or fortnightly.
Volunteers are DBS checked and given training. Reasonable expenses are paid, including mileage.
