I was sickened by the letter last week from Ivor Jones, a resident of Porlock and the UKIP representative of Minehead Central Ward on West Somerset Council.

He described how the “feral” (gone wild) children of Minehead caused truly extensive damage to two public toilets in Minehead in what sounded like a crazed organised gang attack, ripping off toilet seats, smashing windows and even breaking open water pipes causing floods.

This was quite a violent assault, one might say, on two quite separate amenities, several hundred yards apart from each other - and, he says, caused entirely by “cretinous” feral children. 

But let us just look beneath the veneer of this hate-filled accusation, because there is much beneath the surface.

Who saw the damage, at all? Who saw wild children do it? The answer to both is no one. It is all possibly untrue. Every word of it.

He said that the working classes of Minehead should not be allowed to breed these evil “feral” children, and should be offered “birth control”.

This is truly vile hatred of the very people he is supposed to represent. And this is from a man in Porlock, not Minehead, our town, where no one I have spoken to has ever once seen wild children causing damage. The average age of children I see in Blenheim Gardens is about four.

The day after the attack by the animal children of Minehead, whose parents should be offered contraceptives, I went to both smashed-up toilets (now opened) and found no evidence of damage or repair whatsoever. No new toilet seats, no new putty in windows, nothing. Just as they were.

The lady who runs the Blenheim Gardens Cafe, adjoining the “smashed-up” toilets, told me she has never once seen teenagers or children causing trouble or damage, in many years - either in the gardens, their toilets, or in town anywhere.

Cllr Jones wrote: “Like some sort of alien tribe, most of these feral children were conceived by mistake, during a drug or alcohol-fuelled encounter.”

He thus encourages non-breeding of lower classes. It was called eugenics by the Victorians and Hitler. Breed only super class people.

Someone call the cops. Hateful speech is against the law. He saw all this happen from several miles away in Porlock. What bizarre and surreal game is all this occurring within? All will out eventually.
