The Lions Club of Yeovil has announced its 32nd Fireworks Spect-acular and Funfair will be held on Guy Fawkes' Night - Tuesday, Novem-ber 5th.

A bumper crowd of up to 6,000 is expected to come and enjoy the spectacular 25-minute firework display at Yeovil Showground.

Last year saw £4,000 worth of fireworks being set off and organisers have decided to lay on another £1,000 worth for this year's event.

Since its start more than 30 years ago, in excess of £120,000 has been raised for local causes.

Major donations from this year's event will go to Yeovil Heartbeat and the F.A.S.T. Appeal.

Apart from the fireworks display, Herbert's Funfair will provide a string of attractions.

Gates open at 5.30pm, with the fireworks display starting two hours later.

Admission is £12 per vehicle (including all occupants) or £5 per walking adult (£3 for children).

There will be a 1,000-capacity car park inside the ground with a special area designated for disabled persons.
