WEST Somerset businesses have been invited to take part in an innovative seminar aimed at helping them make the most of the local economy.
West Somerset District Council has teamed up with Butlins, Barclays and '4better business' to organise the seminar, which will be held at Butlins, in Minehead, on Wednesday, November 7.
The district council's marketing and economic regeneration officer, Andrew Fowler, said: "In order for local businesses to have any chance of influencing the local economy, important questions have to be asked.
"Does our local economy have a future? Has your business got a future? What are you doing to secure that future?

The seminar will focus on ways in which the local authority can promote the economy, what local businesses can do to help, when and how banks support development plans and what businesses need to do for the future.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm and more information is available from Mr Fowler on 01984 635360.
