SIR — I am writing to let all those who took part in the "Forget-me-not" walk on April 26 know that I have at last the amount raise by you all.

It reached the grand total of £4,048, which I am sure will all agree is an amazing amount to have raised towards research into leukaemia and lymphoma.

I would like to thank you all for taking part in "Scuddy's walk" and for all your donations which accumulated to such an amazing total.

It is nearly the first anniversary of Rob's death and it has been a year of complete disbelief for us all in losing such a wonderful person.

The Forget-me-not fund is a lasting tribute to Rob's memory.

I know there have been many other fund raising events for Scuddy's fund and I would like to thank all those involved so very much for believing in such a deserving cause.

We are going to make the Forget-me-not walk an annual event and are open to suggestions on different walks, so get your thinking caps on, walking boots on and let us see if we can beat the total next year.

Many thanks to you all.

Brenda Southey,
