WEST Somerset Scouts are on the lookout for a new secretary to keep an eye on their meetings.

The district covers beaver, cub, scout and venture scout groups in Porlock, Minehead, Williton and Watchet, with five district meetings held each year,

District vice chairman Pete Curtis said a new secretary was urgently needed to take minutes at the meetings and to send out dates for future events.

He said: "The meetings are normally held in Watchet although we do try and vary them around the district. They are very informal so there is no need to take the minutes in shorthand. We just need someone to lend a hand."

Anyone who could spare some time to ensure the district continues to go from strength to strength should contact Mr Curtis on 01643 704223.
