FAMILIES from nine primary schools gathered at Dulverton Junior School last Thursday for The Ogden Trust’s Exmoor Primary Science Partnership winners’ event.

It was the culmination of each school in the local hub having held their own science fair and selected winners from within their school.

Entries were on display for the judges and the gathering was treated to a science spectacular by Devon-based Wonderstruck.

The aim was to raise the profile of science within a primary setting and allow family members to engage with their children’s science work.

The event was organised as a result of support and funding from The Ogden Trust, which establishes partnerships in both primary and secondary education.

The Exmoor Primary Partnership schools are Cutcombe and Timberscombe CofE First Schools; (Federation), Dulverton Junior School, East Anstey & Bishops Nympton Primary Schools (Federation), Exford CofE First School, Milverton Community Primary School, St Dubricus Porlock First School and Wiveliscombe Primary School.

The overall winner was Tia Stearn from Milverton Primiary School, with Charlotte Norris from Cutcombe First School second and Issy Irving and Esme Wweir from Dulverton First School joint third.
