THE woman who brought the RAF100 baton relay team to Watchet in April was a finalist in the Believe in Somerset Awards.

And she was the only individual finalist, the two others being large groups.
The judging panel commented that such community-minded people are a real asset to the county, bringing in tourists and local communities together and raising Somerset’s profile.
The awards event was held at Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford.
