FATHER Christmas will be making his annual visit to Watchet tomorrow – Christmas Eve.

During his visit, he will be presenting the prizes for Watchet Live CIC’s Christmas Illuminations competition. These will include the best illuminated street and house, plus the best decorated shop in the town.  

This year Santa’s sleigh is bigger for the reindeer to pull and parents and their visitors are asked to leave plenty of space for his sleigh to pass along the roads and turn around so that his reindeer and helpers don’t get hurt. 

His tour of the town will start from Cherry Tree Way at 5pm and call at Normandy Avenue, Cassino Road, Mariners Way, Reed Close, Maglands Road, the top of Liddymore Road, Quantock Road, South Road, Woodland Road, Risdon Road, Grove Close, Flowerdale Road, Wristland Road, Roman Way, Ramon Avenue, Helwell Green, Culvercliffe Road, Holm View, Kingsland, Doniford Road, Norton’s Corner, Anchor Street, Mill Street, Whitehall, St Audries Court, Swain Street, Market Street, West Street and Lorna Doone.
