Yeovil police are appealing for witnesses and information after a supermarket worker was attacked with what has been described as a Samurai sword.
The incident happened at the town's Tesco store on Monday and there appear to have been few witnesses.
Police say the attack took place at some point between 9.15pm and 10pm, and it is thought the culprit was a man who had been ejected from the store by security staff previously that day.
A male store worker suffered minor cuts to his left hand an arm from what has been described a Samurai sword. Police were called to the scene but found no trace of the offender.
The man they wish to interview is described as white and in his late teens or early 20s. He is about 5ft 10 inches tall, of stocky build and with short and cropped mousy hair.
He wore trainers, white trousers and a black shirt with a red logo and white stripe - similar to an ice hockey shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a reward.
