THE second ever Samphire Festival saw over 1,000 people enjoying three days of music, fun and perfect weather above Porlock overlooking the sea.

The independent music and arts festival had a debut sell-out last year, picking up the National Outdoor Events Association’s best small festival award 2016– and this year was even better, with more variety, more people and extra venues.

“We were over the moon with how it went,” said Flora Blathwayt, co-organiser of the festival with Josh Beauchamp.

“It’s been a complete step up. Last year we had lovely music, views and people enjoying the environment. Now so many people are saying this was off the scale compared to that.”

The festival saw a number of new venues and activities added in, catering for everyone from children to adults.
