DUNSTER First School made a great start to its ‘Inspiration Week’ when ex-pupil Jasmine Slack gave a talk and presented a cheque for £291.

FoI answer belies council claim of storm damage responsible for six-mile A39 chaos Jasmine told the pupils how she took the opportunity to open her own salon, The Mews Beauty Rooms at The Luttrell Arms Hotel, Dunster, which opened in May.
The money was raised from the prize draw at the recent launch party organised by Jasmine and attended by 120 guests.
Headteacher Naomi Philp said: “We were bowled over by this generous donation, which came from the fundraising efforts of an ex-pupil. It’s yet another example of how incredibly well supported the school is by the local community.
“The school has exciting new plans to use the donation towards upgrading their music provision. We all wish the Luttrell Arms, Jasmine and her colleagues the best of luck with their new venture”.
