MINEHEAD Rotary Club has donated £1200 to Reminiscence Learning which funds Archie Project activities at St Peter’s School, Williton.

The cheque was presented by club president Carl Horrocks to Fiona Mahoney, founder of Reminiscence Learning.

The Archie Project centres on a scarecrow to enable cross-generation dementia awareness.

It links local primary schools, care homes and sheltered housing schemes, businesses and services and community members.

The ultimate aim is to dispel the fear and stigma often associated with dementia and create more dementia friendly communities.
