Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm August 29 to 6am September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 25 and return.
• M5, from 9pm August 15 to 6am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 24 to junction 26 lane closures for barrier renewal.
• A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am December 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 9pm September 7 to 5am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 entry slip lane closure for electrical works.
• M5, from 10pm September 8 to 6am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 lane closures for electrical works.
• M5, from 10pm September 10 to 6am September 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to junction 26 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.
• M5, from 8pm September 13 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 entry slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 27.
• M5, from 9pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25 exit slip road to Taunton Dean services closed for road markings.
• M5, from 10pm September 17 to 6am September 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to junction 26 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
