Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 8pm October 27 2025 to 6am February 7 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 narrow lanes for drainage works.
• A30, from 8pm April 1 2025 to 4am April 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm November 4 to 4am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 exit slip road lane closure for drainage works.
• M5, from 8pm November 5 to 6am November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 entry slip lane closure and northbound, hard shoulder closure for electrical works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
