ALL systems are go for this year’s Minehead Summer Festival, with the acrobatic Red Arrows team once again due to take star-billing.

The aerial displays will be the highlight of the day on August 12 alongside parachutists from the ever popular Red Devils.

Cllr Karen Mills, lead member for economic development at West Somerset Council, said: “The festival, and especially the Red Arrows, is always really popular and helps promote the town and its many attractions.

“Let’s hope the weather is kind this year!”

The festival offers a free day our for all ages and includes a street market with local arts, crafts and food producers as well as an art, craft and produce market, the chance to pop into local shops and browse charity stalls.

For a taster of what it is like to fly the skies, visitors will also be able to take a ride in a simulator.

There will be a park and walk car park on Seaward Way at a charge of £5 for the day, while details of other car parking in Minehead can be found online at www.westsomersetonline.gov.uk.
