MORE firefighters are needed for a busy West Somerset fire station.

The Dulverton brigade is recruiting people who want to make a difference in the community and have a minimum of two days of availability during the working week and one day at weekends.

Recruits need to be aged 18 or older and physically fit and able to respond to the fire station within five minutes from home or work.

A spokesperson said: “Please drop us a message to discuss if your circumstances would lend themselves to being an on-call firefighter or come and pay us a visit on our training night, Tuesdays at 7 pm, for a chat and a brew.”

The spokesperson said those who worked shifts might be able to give availability on their days off.
