“No-one was able to properly fulfil their roles during lockdown but hopefully this year will be a lot better,” Cllr Bolton said.
He thanked members for their support and said that future projects included a possible skateboard park, officially opening the new community building and refurbishing the Summerland Road toilets.
He added: “I am also hoping that this year we can get a better engagement with some of the outside bodies in the town – which was lacking last year because of the lockdown – and get a good working relationship.
“If most of the major restrictions are lifted by June we can hopefully get the town moving again.”
