A CROWD of thousands braved the wind and rain on Saturday (August 30) to enjoy a packed day of music, performances, and entertainment as the Minehead Bay Festival returned with a bang for the fourth time.

The community came out in force to support the free, non-profit event.

A fun-filled programme featured two music stages, bike stunts from top rider Andrei Burton, live performances from the Higher Beings circus, and wellbeing sessions and arts and crafts.

On the beach, nature-based workshops were provided by Somerset Wildlife Trust, Wild Wellies Forest School, and the Field Studies Council.

Event manager Zara Aitken said: “It was worth all the hard work to see so many people with smiles on their faces, dancing in the rain.”
