MINEHEAD Quilters have been putting their skills towards helping sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers.
They have been making patchwork quilts for Project Linus, a charity that aims are to give the children a sense of security and comfort that can be provided by home-made quilts and blankets.
They are knitted crocheted or sewn by made by volunteers across the UK – including Minehead Quilters.
Project Linus originated in America in 1995 and began in the UK in March 2000.
While the original organisation was started to distribute blankets for a local children’s cancer unit, quilts are also now given to sick, disabled or disadvantaged children.
About 2000 quilts and blankets are delivered across the UK each month.
Pictured are members of Minehead Quilters who handed over 19 quilts to Vivien Bateman, when shevisited the group on behalf of Project Linus.
