PEOPLE of all ages - from children at a nursery to a residents of an elderly people’s home - celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday in West Somerset.Villagers held street parties and showed true British spirit in overcoming annoying obstacles such as miserable weather and streets filled with cars.
Some stayed indoors - including Watchet Royal British Legion whose women's section organised a tea dance in the club. Everyone dressed in red, white and blue for the occasion.Photos and stories in the Free Press (June 17).
