FAMILY support charity Home-Start West Somerset had good reason to celebrate after receiving a cheque for £5,284.74 from the Quantock Deanery.

It had been collected over several months via various collection pots, cream teas, coffee mornings and other local events.

Home-Start manager Clare Pound said: “This is a wonderful donation and it means so much more when it is raised locally.

“The support Home-Start has had from the Quantock Deanery has been very special and they have been a wonderful advocate for us when applying for the Hinkley Community Foundation Fund.”
