NIMBLE fingered pupils from Minehead Middle School put on their creative thinking caps for a local version of television's Great British Sewing Bee competition. Six year seven and eight girls took part in the challenge to take a man's shirt and transform it into something completely different. They were marked on the innovative transformation of the garment and the level of skills demonstrated. And year seven pupil Lucy Birch produced the winning result - a tailored halterneck dress made from her own pattern. Runner -up Ellie Scyner, also in year seven, created a playsuit. Judges Liz French (left) and Ann Douglass are pictured with Lucy (second left) and Ellie and their creations.
